Can't get used to losing you

When I was a little girl and staying home from school because I was sick, I would sneak into my mother's bedroom and try to work her record player so I could play her favourite Andy Williams record. He was the biggest star in those days, and she loved him.

Mom would bring my dog Fluffy to me in my bed to be my nurse, then she'd make me a toasted cheese sandwich for lunch. It was only hours after that and she was somewhere else in the house that I would make my secret dash to be in her bedroom all by myself when I wasn't supposed to be there. The sun would stream in the windows, and I would splash on her Chanel No. 5 perfume.
