I got a new rescue cat last night to foster. She's cute little Snowflake. She's 18 years old, only a few years younger than my own daughter. Her bed has a heating pad in it that turns on automatically when she sits on it. Sounds like heaven to me. She also comes with pain medication for her arthritis. I have to put a few drops of pain stuff in her food -- I had a headache this morning when I fed her, and I did think about having some myself.
Facebook Annoyances
My husband keeps using me for Over-the-Shoulder Facebooking -- it's annoying so my daughter is creating an account for him. He should have his own account and stop living through mine vicariously.
Rain for all the rest of August
It's been raining today, and I read it was going to rain for the rest of August. Argh, no more summer.
Here's Hyde Park yesterday:

Sweet Snowflake! I don't know how to tell you this but...I doubt that cat will ever live anywhere else. Eighteen is pretty "up there" in years for a cat! So just be sweet to her and give her the pain meds, and love her! Bless her lil' feline heart...how kind of you to foster her.
I had a dream she died during teatime.
I hope that this is not so.
Also I hear today is the last nice day of August. Let's hope it's not true, etc.
Snowflake was alive and kicking last night when I came home from work. I think I might have squeezed too much pain killer and put on her food because she seemed very perky and I might have given her too much and she was on a CAT HIGH.
Awwww! I say let that old lady have all the drugs she wants---she's earned 'em! Trivia fact: do you know that almost 100% of blue-eyed white cats are stone-DEAF? It's a recessive-gene thing (Katie can explain better) Of course, most cats that aged, of any coloration, are probably a little hard of hearing...
