A Victorian anniversary party

My 25th wedding anniversary is in December, and I'm already planning a party. It's going to be Victorian themed, and guests have to come dressed like Victorians.

I found this dress on Ebay yesterday and ordered a hoop skirt from China to go under it.

I just wanted to show you as I think it's so pretty. Thanks for indulging me.

I imagine you'd have the right accent to go with it too! :)

Bring it to Natchez - we dress like that all the time. (Just kidding - sort of)

It's gorgeous. What is the fabric. I love that electric blue color - and I bet it will look great on you.

Oh, it's beautiful! Can't wait to see you in it! I've never worn a dress like that...would love an excuse to try something like that on!

Well, Derry, you are more than welcome to come to my party if you can get to Cambridge.

Casey Ann, this dress has a 6-hoop skirt underneath and I ordered a 3-hooper -- I might have to get a bigger one. Wish I'd kept my mother's dress and hoop skirt from the pageant. It's just not something you think you'll ever need to wear again later in life!

My friend Esther (where you'll be saying) has tons of hoops that may have been around for generations - and she lends them out every Pilgrimage.
