Socialism only works in two places: Heaven where they don't need it and hell where they already have it. -Ronald Reagan
Here's my strategy on the Cold War:
We win, they lose. - Ronald Reagan
Eliz again: Yay! Just we need now -- completely simplistic thinking by a national leader.

But a lot of Americans just loved him. I think they like simple answers to complex problems - even if they don't work. We are a country of 30 second soundbites.
Hum, Reagan was a war leader, whereas Obama is a peacetime leader (at least according to their own standards). So what they've said can only be judged on those terms and in that light.
Different challenges make different demands, and the party leaders of today cannot fairly be compared to the leaders of yesteryear - certainly Sarah Palin isn't half the celebrity or politician Reagan was, though she's making out as almost as good a celebrity politician!
Complexity is much to be desired in politics; for example the complex plan of British politicians to use anti-terrorism laws to seize the bank accounts of the citizens of Iceland shows the desirability of creating layers and layers of hard to understand interlocking laws.
It is a shame the cold war ended and European defense companies lost the lucrative contracts (paid for by US taxpayers) necessary for defending the NATO nations against Russia. What was Reagan thinking?
What a moron you are Marty. Why don't you go crawl back under whatever rock it was you lived under?
You plagiarized that bit too I see.
Come on guys and gals, show Marty some love - he's trying... I don't know whether he's trying to be serious, trying to be funny or trying to test our patience but at least he's trying!
