Beautiful flowers for formerly beautiful girl :)

I'm just kidding that my daughter is 'formerly' beautiful but those snaggle-tooth post-crash teeth of hers strike me every time I see them. They'll be fixed soon but for now, she's lost her polished urban look!

My friends sent her a lovely flower arrangement (above) and chocolates. Thank you to Melissa, Elise, the two Karens and Tessa. It really cheered Katie up to receive them.

Actually Tessa Elphick stopped by on her way home from work to see how Katie was. I haven't seen her in ages so it was good to catch up. She cheered Katie up with amusing stories about her life.

Now, Eliz, just because Katie is temporarily tooth-challenged, don't you go stealing those chocolates!

BWJ, how did you know that I would have done something like that? I confess that I did do that. I started a DIET today so you know that means I eat even more than ever. I ate some of Katie's ice cream too.

Well, perhaps this will serve as added incentive for Katie to get back to her fightin' strength soon...so that she can wrestle her treats from her thieving mother...?:):)

Katie's not going to be wrestling with me over food for some time. One arm of hers is still useless, as the wounds are so large.

I read your blog for the first time in a week or so and I was shocked and saddened to learn of Katie's accident. When I think of her I think of books, boyfriends and a new life that will go on long after my own. I don't like to think that anything or anyone would ever harm her or that her life would ever be interrupted by pain or injury.
